Beverley Dunlop – Biography
I was born in the midlands but have lived and worked in many parts of the UK including
Scotland, the Northeast, North and South London, Surrey and the south, having lived in Bournemouth twice. I am married with
two children in local schools. I have pursued a demanding professional career and more recently worked as a management
consultant locally.
I totally fell in love with Bournemouth during long summer visits, in the 60’s, with my
parents. Bournemouth was fantastic then, lots of entertainment
for everyone – families, teenagers, young and old, – no one was left out. It was safe, friendly and fun.
Many years later I knew
where to move my family – Bournemouth – and we moved here in 2001. I am dismayed at how Bournemouth’s treasures have either been destroyed or left to rot and commercial gain
is at the forefront of the current Council’s decisions with no thoughts of local desires, needs and the wishes of the
community.
No
longer able to watch the destruction of this once beautiful town I feel compelled to try and reverse this horror story and
am delighted to have the opportunity to represent the residents of Moordown who hopefully will join me in this challenge to
restore Bournemouth as it should be - a town for all.
